Bidders must be prequalified in accordance with Public Contract Code section 20111.6 prior to submitting a bid. Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing (MEP) subcontractors requiring specific licenses must also be prequalified. Bidders for Bid Package #1 (General Construction) must complete the General Construction Requirements (Exhibit F) and return the form with their bid. Time is of the essence. Each bid must include a bid security of no less than ten percent of the total bid price. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the DIR. Prevailing wage rates must be paid as specified, and DVBE requirements apply. Bidders are responsible for verifying prequalification status and are encouraged not to renew prequalification between specified dates. Bids must be hand delivered on the date of the bid opening and must possess the required contractor's licenses for their respective bid packages.
