Demolition and site work for a residential development in Fort Scott, Kansas. Completed plans call civil work for a residential development.
Sealed bids are requested for the demolition and lot cleaning at 601 S. Little, Fort Scott, KS 66701. The work includes removal of all building materials, including the house, foundation, fence, and scraping the lot clean. Any basements, under structures, or accessory structures must be filled with compacted compatible soil. Acceptable fill material (black dirt) must be furnished to ensure proper slope for water runoff and a mowable condition. The lot must be seeded to allow grass to grow. All utilities must be properly disconnected prior to demolition as per city requirements. Work is to be completed within 20 days from acceptance of the bid. Landfill receipts from the Bourbon County Landfill must be brought to the Codes Department to ensure payment after completion. Bids must be sealed and delivered to the City Clerk; no emailed bids will be accepted and bids for multiple opportunities must be submitted separately. Contractors must meet specified liability and property insurance requirements.
