Demolition and site work for a multi-residential development in Fort Scott, Kansas. Completed plans call civil work for a multi-residential development.

Sealed bids are invited for demolition and lot cleaning at 406 Horton, Fort Scott, KS. The scope of work includes removing all building materials such as the house, foundation, and fence, and scraping the lot clean. Any basements, under structures, or accessory structures must be filled with compacted, compatible soil. The contractor must provide acceptable fill material (black dirt) to ensure the lot has proper slope for water runoff and is left in a mowable condition. The lot must be seeded so grass can grow. All utilities must be properly disconnected prior to demolition, following City requirements. Work is to be completed within 20 days of bid acceptance. The contractor must provide landfill receipts from the Bourbon County Landfill to the Codes Department for payment. Contractors are required to maintain Contractor’s Liability Insurance with limits of $100,000 and $500,000, as well as Property and Demolition Insurance covering equipment, vehicles, and hauling. Bids must be sealed, submitted to the City Clerk, and will not be accepted by email or if not sealed. Each bid must acknowledge all listed requirements.
