Demolition and site work for a residential development in Fort Scott, Kansas. Completed plans call civil work for a residential development.

Sealed bids are invited for the demolition on site of the structure at 1626 Pine, Fort Scott, KS 66701. The contractor's insurance requirements include Contractor's Liability Insurance with limits of $100,000 and $500,000 to protect against claims due to accidents during operations, as well as Property Insurance covering all equipment, hoist, and motor vehicles on site or hauling materials or debris from the site, and Demolition Insurance. Scope of work and instructions to bidders: 1. All building materials, including footings and patios, must be removed. 2. Any basements, under structure, or accessory structure must be filled with compacted compatible soil. 3. Furnish acceptable fill material (black dirt) to leave the lot with proper slope for water runoff and a mowable condition. 4. The lot shall be seeded for grass to grow. 5. All utilities must be properly disconnected prior to demolition as per City requirements. A checklist is available at signing of agreement. 6. Work should be completed within 20 days from acceptance of bid. 7. Landfill receipts from the Bourbon County Landfill must be provided to the Codes Department to ensure payment after completion. Sealed bids only will be accepted. No emailed bids will be accepted. Bids must be sealed and submitted separately if bidding on multiple opportunities. The city reserves the right to refuse any and all bids.
