The scope of work consists of replacing air handling and AC units and hazardous materials abatement in Buildings 5, 6, and 15. Tasks include removal of six existing air handling units, three existing condensing units, three existing compressors, and other HVAC equipment within mechanical rooms and on the roof. New installation involves six air handling units, six condensing units, and other HVAC equipment. Temporary packaged air handling units must be procured, installed, operated at grade during construction, and removed upon completion of new unit installation. Work includes mechanical prime with site civil, structural, architectural, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm, and controls work to complete the project. Instructions to bidders require submission of an expression of interest including: company name, address, contact information, documentation of ability to perform as mechanical prime, experience on similar-size HVAC projects in the past five years, five completed contracts of similar size and complexity with client references, bonding ability with surety letter, NYS Vendor Questionnaire (CCA-2), agreement to comply with MWE/WBE/SDVOB requirements, Table of Contents from the firm's Safety Program, and Contractor’s Experience Modification Rating from the last three years. Submissions must be electronic. EOI submissions will be reviewed on demonstrated ability, prior project success, bonding, questionnaire completion, reference feedback, and ability to meet MBE/WBE/SDVOB requirements.
