The project is for the Woodbridge High School Interim Relocatable Classrooms. All bidders must be prequalified in accordance with Public Contract Code section 20111.6 before submitting a bid. The project includes work that will be performed by mechanical, electrical, or plumbing (MEP) contractors who require C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, or C-46 licenses. Bidders are required to review all bid and contract documents and address any discrepancies or requests for interpretation in writing before the specified deadline. In accordance with Business and Professions Code Section 7028.15 and Public Contract Code Section 3300, bidders must possess the appropriate classification(s) of contractor's license(s) at the time the bid is submitted. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security of not less than 10% of the total bid price, payable to the District. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the DIR to submit a bid for a public works project. Bidders must comply with prevailing wage requirements and DVBE program specifications. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bidding process. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the opening of bids. The Agreement will allow the successful bidder to substitute securities for retained monies or have payment of retentions earned directly into escrow. Pre-qualification requirements for the project include: Bidders and certain MEP subcontractors must be prequalified with the District under Public Contract Code section 20111.6. Any contractor not prequalified within the past twelve (12) months must submit a Prequalification Questionnaire Package by the specified deadline. The contractor must be on the District's approved list of prequalified contractors posted five business days prior to the bid opening date. Bidders must possess the appropriate contractor's license(s) at the time of bid submission. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with DIR.
