Anybody who wishes to submit a bid MUST obtain the documents from Gianforcaro Architects, Engineers & Planners Sealed bids will be received for Canopy Renovations at the Martha B. Day School, 225 Rafkind Road, Bloomingdale, New Jersey, together with all work incidental thereto, in accordance with the requirements of the drawings and specifications prepared by Gianforcaro Architects & Engineers. Bid packages will be received for a single overall contract and all work incidental thereto. Bidders and all general construction contractors and subcontractors must be prequalified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction, and possess a valid and current Notice of Classification in either C008 (General Contractor) or C009 (General Contractor/Alterations and Additions). Bids must be submitted on the Proposal Forms as designated, enclosed in a sealed envelope with the name and address of the bidder and proposal identification number on the outside. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond drawn to the order of the Board of Education for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, but in no case in excess of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00). Each bidder must also submit a Certificate of Consent of Surety stating that it will provide the bidder and subcontractors with a Performance/Payment Bond for the full amount of the contract. If bidders are not providing surety for subcontractors, the subcontractor must provide their own surety and proof at the time of bid submission. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after the date set for opening. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to waive informality in the bidding, if in the interest of the Board of Education. Contracts will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. Bidding must be in conformance with all applicable federal, state, and municipal laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations; bidders and subcontractors are required to be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and registered with the Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue at the time of bid submission, and must provide proof of registration certificates. No bid will be accepted that does not conform to the specifications furnished.
