The work includes furnishing all labor and material for the construction of the following items in approximate quantities: mobilization for water main installation, concrete sidewalk (4-inch and 6-inch), clearing and grubbing, removing existing hydrants and leads, connecting to existing water main, installing gate valves and boxes (6-inch, 8-inch, 12-inch), hydrants (7.5-ft bury depth), corporation stops and curb stops with boxes (1-inch and 1.5-inch), water main fitting, water service pipe (1-inch), removing and installing new water main (C900 6-inch, 8-inch, and 12-inch), and turf establishment. Bids will only be received electronically. Bid security in the amount of 10 percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid. Contractors must be on the plan holders list through Quest CDN for bids to be accepted. Proof of Responsibility must be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Use of American Iron and Steel products is required. Compliance with Federal Davis-Bacon wage rates, Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action requirements applies. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to award the Contract in its best interests. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents.
