This project is for the purchase, installation, and maintenance of approximately 100 trees with a minimum diameter of two inches at installation. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, equipment, materials, and traffic control as deemed necessary for the installation and maintenance of the trees. All work is to be performed in accordance with plans and specifications on file and as directed by the City of Onalaska. Sealed bids are required, accompanied by a Certificate of Organization and Authority, a list of any subcontractors, approval of pre-qualification, and a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% but not more than 10% of the bid as a guarantee. Bidders must file a Proof of Responsibility form showing sufficient financial ability, equipment, and experience to perform the contract. Only qualified bidders will be accepted. Bidders must comply with the municipal wage scale and pay minimum rates of pay as established. The work must commence within ten days of written notification to proceed and be completed by July 3, 2026. The bid envelope must be marked “BID PROPOSAL - 2026 Urban Forestry Program.” Digital and paper bidding documents are available for a fee.
