Renovation of an educational facility in Darby, Montana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
A. The Trapper Creek Job Corps Center has identified the need for asbestos remediation in mechanical and storage rooms in dormitory buildings 10, 11, 12, 13 after a site inspection finding of asbestos tile underneath the current carpet tiles. After remediation, new resilient vinyl sheet flooring is to be installed. To fully access the floor, the existing water heaters and furnace units will have to be uninstalled prior to removal and reinstalled after the new flooring has been laid. 1. Base Item No. 1 - Bldgs. 10, 11, 12, 13 Mechanical Room Asbestos Remediation and Reconstruction. B. The need for mold remediation has also been identified in building 11 (dorm 2). The plumbing leaks that caused the mold issue have already been addressed and the wall opened up, but remediation in the wall, on the floor, and in the crawlspace is still required. After remediation new gypsum board also needs to be installed, finished, and painted; and new carpet tiles laid in area where flooring is to be removed for remediation. 2. Base Item No. 2 - Bldg. 11 Mold Remediation and Reconstruction. The scope of work includes asbestos remediation in mechanical and storage rooms of dormitory buildings 10, 11, 12, and 13 at the Trapper Creek Job Corps Center, specifically addressing asbestos tile found underneath current carpet tiles. After asbestos remediation, new resilient vinyl sheet flooring must be installed. The work requires the temporary uninstallation of existing water heaters and furnace units prior to flooring removal, and their reinstallation after the new flooring is laid. Additionally, mold remediation is required in building 11 (dorm 2), including remediation in the wall, on the floor, and in the crawlspace where previous plumbing leaks have been addressed and the wall has been opened. After mold remediation, new gypsum board is to be installed, finished, and painted, and new carpet tiles are to be laid where flooring is removed for remediation. Offerors should review all solicitation materials and attachments in full.
