Description

Remodeling of a municipal facility in Newport, Oregon. Completed plans call for the remodel of a municipal facility.

The project consists of remodeling the existing upstairs space within an occupied Public Works facility to improve functionality, visibility, and safety while maintaining ongoing operations. The scope of work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, and testing necessary for demolition and removal of existing carpet and drywall, installation of new flooring, modification of framing to widen a doorway, framing and covering skylight cutouts, installation of two new interior doors and new windows, electrical upgrades including new recessed lighting, patching and painting, and all related tasks to ensure code compliance and quality. Contractors are required to maintain safe access, coordinate work to minimize disruption, provide daily and final cleanups, obtain all required permits and inspections, and field-verify all dimensions and conditions. Quote submissions must include a lump sum price, hourly rates for additional work, estimated project duration, descriptions of at least two similar projects, Oregon CCB number, and confirmation of contract review. Evaluation will be based on lowest responsive and responsible quote. The City reserves the right to request clarification, negotiate scope clarifications, and reject any or all quotes.
