The City is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to provide recreation planning and implementation services for Phase 2 of the Recreation Strategic Plan. This phase will include developing funding and financing strategies, identifying potential partnerships, proposing possible programming, creating fit plans, recommending phasing, and planning for a community center. Phase 2 will focus on strategic implementation of three priority projects: 1) new community center in the Stephanie Tubbs Jones Community Building Quadrant, 2) exploring artificial turf and playground relocation in the same quadrant, and 3) building rehabilitation or replacement of the Thornton Ice Rink. Teams must include a recreation professional, architect, finance/funding specialist, and may include other members such as planners, landscape architects, or engineers.
