Bids are solicited for the Carnation-Wilmac Area Storm Improvements Project (2601) in South Union Township. Contract Documents, including drawings and technical specifications, are available electronically at the Office of the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Fayette, PA. Copies can be obtained by payment of a non-refundable fee, with an additional charge for mailing. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or other security equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid. The project is subject to certain Federal and State requirements, including payment of prevailing wages, non-discrimination in hiring and employment, and utilization of minority and women business enterprises. The Redevelopment Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informalities in the bidding process. Bids may be held for up to sixty (60) days from the date of opening. Minority, women, and disadvantaged business enterprises are encouraged to participate. A Bidder will not be rejected as not responsible solely because it fails to reach the MPLs. To determine the participation level which has been reached, a Bidder may divide the total dollar amount of the commitments by the total dollar amount of the Bidders bid.
