WVIJDC #2022S-2090 The work under this contract consists of the installation of approximately 1,300 linear feet of 8-inch PVC SDR-35 gravity sanitary sewer at varying depths; the installation of seven new sanitary sewer manholes, including one internal drop connection; twenty-three customer service connections, including twenty-three 8-inch by 4-inch PVC wye connections; approximately 275 linear feet of 4-inch customer service laterals; twenty-three customer service cleanouts; five gravity terminal line cleanouts; one connection to an existing manhole; and all associated appurtenances in accordance with the contract documents. The work will be substantially completed within 180 calendar days after the contract time commences to run, and completed and ready for final payment within 210 days after the contract time commences to run. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. A two envelope system will be used. Envelope No. 1 must have the name and address of the bidder, the bid on Contract No. 5 - Meadow Lane Sanitary Sewer Collection System, and must be received by the Mason County Public Service District. Envelope No. 2 labeled "Bid Proposal" shall also be placed inside Envelope No. 1. Envelope No. 1 will be opened first and the bid opening requirement items checked for compliance. If found in order, Envelope No. 2 will then be opened and publicly read aloud. If not, it will be considered non-responsive. A bidder may not withdraw their bid for ninety days after the date set for the opening of bids. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to Mason County Public Service District in an amount equal to five percent of the base bid. All bidders are required to have a West Virginia Contractor's License. Bidders must comply with all applicable laws and regulations including prevailing wage rates, nondiscrimination in employment, drug-free workplace affidavit requirements, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises and Affirmative Action Requirements, and suspension and debarment compliance.
