Renovation and addition to an educational facility in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; and 2,010-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility.
Sealed bids are invited for the construction of a 2-story classroom addition and the interior renovation of 8 existing classrooms, along with other work indicated in the bidding documents. A bid bond equal to five percent of the bid is required. The successful bidder must provide a 100% performance and labor and material payment bond in the contract amount. All contractors and subcontractors must use local labor as specified by the West Virginia Jobs Act and must be licensed to perform work in West Virginia, with the license number affixed to all bids and contracts. Bids may not be withdrawn for thirty days without the owner's consent. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to select bids in its own best interest. All requests for information, substitutions, and correspondence must be submitted in writing to the architect. Only full sets of bidding documents are available for a non-refundable fee, and bidders must register to receive addenda. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held, and all potential bidders must attend. Bidders may review documents at designated plan rooms or at the offices of the owner and architect. Deadline for submission of questions, requests for clarifications is 7 days before bids, May 7th, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
