9th Avenue Roadway Rehabilitation (Columbia Avenue to Milwaukee Avenue) - Base Bid, Marquette Avenue (8th Avenue to 9th Avenue) - Alternate A, and Fire Department Parking Lot - Alternate B for the City of South Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. The work includes asphalt pavement removal, HMA pavement, concrete pavement, concrete curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, storm sewer pipe reinforced concrete, manholes and catch basins, sanitary sewer spot replacement, water main relay, water service lateral, hydrant assembly, and miscellaneous quantities of excavation, pavement markings, and restoration. Bids must include specified items and quantities for proposal submission. All proposals must be placed in a sealed opaque envelope marked as specified. Bids must be submitted with a certified check or bid bond not less than 5% of the bid. The successful bidder must file a contract and a performance bond in the amount of 100% of the total proposal price within 10 working days after award. Only proposals submitted on the official form will be accepted. The City of South Milwaukee reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informalities in the bidding. No bids may be withdrawn for 30 days after the scheduled bid opening date. Pre-qualification requirements: Prequalification forms for 2026 are required to be on file in the Office of the City Engineer for all contractors and subcontractors at least seven days prior to bid opening.
