City of Molallanotice of Proposed Exemption From Competitive Bidding Requirementsnotice is Hereby Given That the City of Molalla Intends to Approve Findings Exempting a Public Improvement Contract From the Competitive Bidding Requirements Pursuant to Ors 279c.335(2). The Proposed Exemption Would Authorize a Direct Award to Rotschy, Inc. For Additional Biosolids Removal and Lagoon #1 Cleaning and Conversion Work Associated With the City's Wastewater Treatment Plant Rebid Project. The Work Will Be Integrated Into the Existing Construction Contract in Order to Maintain Continuous Wastewater Treatment Operations, Preserve Critical Project Sequencing, and Achieve Cost Efficiencies Related to Mobilization and Unit Pricing. The City Has Prepared Draft Findings in Support of the Proposed Exemption, Concluding That the Exemption is Unlikely to Encourage Favoritism and is Likely to Result in Substantial Cost Savings and Other Public Benefits.
