Provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits, and incidentals necessary to remove, dispose, and replace two 10-foot by 8-foot garage doors with new doors and automatic openers, and to install one electrical outlet to service a garage door opener at the Whatcom Wildlife Area - Lake Terrell Unit Office, located at 5975 Lake Terrell Road, Ferndale, Washington 98258. The project has an engineer's estimate of $7,000.00. Prevailing wage rates are required. Bids must be submitted on the current Bid Form, placed in an envelope clearly marked with "BID ENCLOSED," the project name, and project number, and must include the contractor's name and address. No oral, email, telephonic, or faxed bids or modifications will be accepted or considered. Bidders must meet specified responsibility criteria, including proper registration and insurance, and are encouraged to include participation from Minority and Women's Business Enterprises. Bids greater than $35,000 must include a bid guarantee. The Owner may reject any or all bids for any reason and may waive informalities. The purpose of this project involves removing and disposing of the existing damaged garage doors and automatic openers, installing new garage doors and openers (Unit Price), and adding a new electrical outlet to ensure proper operation of the new equipment. Bid Item 1: Demolish/Remove/Disposal of existing Garage Doors and Electric Openers (Unit Price): Remove two (2) damaged garage doors, electrical opener, and all accessories related and dispose of. This will delete the damaged equipment and make room for new units. Bid Item 2: Installation of New Garage Doors (Unit Price): Install two (2) new garage doors and all accessories needed to provide a safe function of the door opening and closing. Bid Item 3: Installation of New Electric Door Openers (Unit Price): Install Two (2) new electric automatic door openers for each new garage door. This will provide a safe way to open and close doors. Bid Item 4: Installation of New Electrical Outlet for Garage Openers (Unit Price): Install one (1) new electrical outlet to power the opener without an outlet. This will eliminate the extension cord used to power the second opener.
