Questions received less than Seven (7) working days before the bid opening will not be answered. Scope of Work The work on this project will include but is not limited to the demolition and reconstruction of the police station located in the Carbondale City Hall. This along with the intake/interrogation room and the new wall and door separating the lobby with the rear corridor are Base Bid. Sealed proposals for the City of Carbondale Police Station Renovations, Carbondale, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, will be received. The work on this project will include but is not limited to the demolition and reconstruction of the police station located in the Carbondale City Hall, including the intake/interrogation room, and the new wall and door separating the lobby from the rear corridor as the Base Bid. Bid alternate #1 consists of demolition and renovation of the toilet rooms. Bidders' proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, certified bank treasurer's check, bank cashier's check or bid bond in the required form and amount. A Non-Collusion Affidavit of Contractor is required to be signed and notarized prior to contract award. A no-lien agreement must be signed and filed by the contractor before work begins. All proposals shall be irrevocable for sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, unless delayed due to required approvals, and must be accompanied by a 10% bid guaranty, payable to the Owner.
