Work to be completed consists of professional services for the development of a Unified Development Code (UDC) for the City of Flowery Branch. The objective is to consolidate and modernize the City's existing zoning, subdivision, and development-related ordinances into a single, user-friendly document. The UDC must align with the City's Comprehensive Plan, promote sustainable growth, and support Flowery Branch's vision as a charming, old town, forward-thinking community. The selected firm or consultant is expected to address the challenges posed by outdated and fragmented development regulations and streamline them, incorporate best practices in urban planning, and ensure consistency with state and federal laws. Collaboration with the Georgia Mountains Regional Commission (GMRC) is required to ensure alignment between the new UDC and the Comprehensive Plan.
