The Base Work generally consists of a 1.5-inch pavement overlay on specified streets, with Additive Alternative #1 and Additive Alternative #2 covering additional specified roadways. The Base Work covers approximately 300,150 square feet of roadway, Additive Alternative #1 covers approximately 76,100 square feet, and Additive Alternative #2 covers approximately 79,000 square feet. All roads included are to be paved to Caltrans standard specifications. The Contractor is to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, incidentals, permits, services, and construction required to complete the Work, including mobilization, traffic control, erosion control, pavement grinding and removal, hazardous material handling, pavement repair and leveling, replacement of traffic signal detector loops, raising utility covers, cleaning, tack coat application, pavement fabric installation, placing and compacting hot mix asphalt, and replacing traffic striping and markers. Contractor shall post notice of the project work schedule at all entrances at least one week before work begins. "NO PARKING" signs must be posted at least 72 hours prior to work. Traffic delay in the active construction zones must not exceed ten minutes, and one ten-foot travel lane in each direction must be maintained. The work area is to be cleaned daily. Bids must be submitted using the provided bid form, be on a unit price basis, and be accompanied by a bid guaranty equal to at least 10% of the bid amount. The Contractor must be licensed in California with the appropriate classification and obtain a City of Atwater Business License before contract execution. Complete all work within 30 working days.
