Road surface overlay and paving project for East Broadway Avenue, to be performed in accordance with 2024 Caltrans standard specifications and plans. Bonds: 10% Bid Bond, 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond. Scope of Work: The Work generally consists of a 1.5-inch pavement overlay located on E. Broadway Ave between Mogliotti Ave and approximately 400 feet east of Manchester Rd, including approximately 50 lineal feet of conform overlay paving on each intersecting street (unless intersection street has a valley gutter, then conform will stop at valley gutter). Work includes approximately 141,250 square feet of existing surfaced roadway or approximately 4,600 linear centerline feet of roadway, including side street conforms measured to the centerline of E. Broadway Avenue. All roads included in the project are to be paved "current" to Caltrans standard specifications. Project is anticipated to start in September 2026 The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, incidentals, permits, services, and construction required to complete the Work, which includes: o mobilizing all required resources to complete the Work; providing temporary traffic control; o providing erosion, sedimentation, and pollution control; o removing existing pavement by wedge grind; o removing existing pavement markers; removing existing traffic striping and pavement markings by grinding; disposing and/or recycling of all removed and excess materials; handling and disposing of any and all hazardous materials; repairing and filling existing pavement cracks, potholes, and boils; 0 leveling low/depressed areas of existing pavement; o raising existing utility covers to finish grade; 0 cleaning loose sand, dirt, debris, and other contaminants from existing pavement; applying asphalt binder tack coat and sealant; installing geosynthetic pavement fabric; placing and compacting 1.5" Type A HMA pavement overlay with 1/2" max. aggregate size; and replacing thermoplastic traffic striping and pavement markings, and pavement markers..
