The scope of work is to provide Cable Troughs, as defined in the draft Technical Specifications, for use in construction on the 119-mile First Construction Section of the California High-Speed Rail track. All delivered materials must be newly manufactured goods, fully compliant with Buy America and Build America, Buy America Act (BABA) requirements under 49 U.S.C. § 22905 and 2 C.F.R. part 184, and must conform to the Authority's technical specifications. Work may only commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed (NTP) and Purchase Order by the Authority, and the amount of work will depend on available funding. Delivery schedules are provided in the draft General Provisions. No pre-bid conference will be held. Instructions to bidders clarify that the draft Invitation for Bids (IFB) is for review and is subject to approval and change by the Authority's Board of Directors; official bids may only be submitted after final IFB release, as announced. Bidders should not submit questions until the final IFB is officially released.
