Demolition, site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Durand, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the demolition of a road / highway; for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than five days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. This project is part of a WisDOT Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP-MSILT), which consists of roadway reconstruction of the existing street including hot mix asphalt pavement, crushed aggregate base course, concrete sidewalk and driveways, concrete curb and gutter reconstruction, and restoration. The scope of work includes the reconstruction of 6th Avenue East from East Wells Street to East Prospect Street for the City of Durand, as part of the WisDOT LRIP-MSILT project. Work involves clearing and grubbing, demolition of asphalt, concrete, and curb and gutter, excavation, installation of storm sewer (HDPE, 12" and 18"), storm sewer inlets and manholes, storm sewer castings, preparation of granular subbase for sidewalks, placement of crushed aggregate base, concrete curb and gutter, concrete sidewalks and driveways (4" and 6"), hot mix asphalt (3" depth), traffic control, and restoration including topsoil, turf, grasses, and erosion mat. Proposals must be submitted on provided forms and accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to five percent (5%) of the proposal, payable to the owner. For electronic bids, the original certified check or bid bond must be delivered within 72 hours of bid opening. Bids are accepted via online service or by sealed paper copy. Digital project bidding documents must be obtained from online, which is also the platform for all official notifications, addenda, and other bidding documents. Proposals may not be withdrawn for 60 days after opening. The City of Durand reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive informalities.
