The purpose of this work is to construct and install both a new airport security fence for the Tucson International Airport and a new 3-strand vehicle barrier fence, perimeter vehicle service roads, and security infrastructure on United States Air Force Plant 44 property, adjacent to TUS. Work for this project includes providing all equipment, labor, and materials for the construction and installation of a new 8-foot security fence with 6-strands of barbed wire and wildlife mitigation, a new 3-strand vehicle barrier fence, and also the installation of underground conduit for power and communication, new light pole bases, installation of salvaged (by others) light poles, installation of a millings perimeter vehicle service road, and miscellaneous earthwork. Interested contractors are invited to submit sealed bids for the project in accordance with the requirements of the bid documents. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond for ten percent (10%) of the total bid as a guarantee. Contractors must be properly licensed or exempt from licensing requirements at the time the bid is submitted. The submission must include the names, addresses, percentage, and dollar amount of participation of any subcontractor firms involved. Bidders must also submit a properly completed and certified "Contractor's Qualification Statement" as provided in the bid documents.
