Sealed proposals are requested for the construction of concrete sidewalks along H Street. The project includes the replacement and construction of new sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and stormwater catch basins, as well as upgrading the sidewalk system to current ADA standards for ramps, crosswalks, and driveway approaches along specified sections of H Street. Work locations include replacement of 180 feet of sidewalk from 11th Street to C Canal South Access Road, 150 feet from 12th Street to C Canal North Access Road, 970 feet from 16th Street to 18th Street, and 280 feet from 18th Street to 19th Street, all on the east side of H Street. Each bid must include a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond payable to City of Fairfield in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid. The successful bidder must furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each for one hundred percent of the contract amount, and provide the required insurance. Idaho requirements for public works contracting apply, including prevailing wage rates. The contract may be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bid, and the right is reserved to reject any or all proposals, waive informalities, postpone the award for up to forty-five days, and accept the bid that is in the best interest of the Owner.
