Sealed bids will be received for the 2026 Fiber to the Home Stock Material Re-Bid. Bids may be submitted electronically or in person. Only a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check shall be submitted as the bid security. Electronic copies of both the front and back of the check or bid bond must be included with electronic bids. Bids must be signed in accordance with LRS Title 38:2212(B)5, and a Corporate Resolution or Certificate of Authority authorizing the person signing the bid is required with the bid. Failure to submit this documentation will result in bid rejection. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond payable to the Lafayette Consolidated Government in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid plus additive alternates. If a bid bond is used, it must comply with specific requirements regarding the issuing company. The bid bond must guarantee that the bidder will execute the contract, if awarded, in conformity with the contract documents within ten days. No bidder may withdraw their bid for at least forty-five days after the scheduled bid opening. Each bid must be submitted only on the provided quotation form. Bids will be evaluated based on the lowest responsible and responsive bid that is in compliance with bid documents. The Lafayette Consolidated Government reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. Contractors and suppliers are encouraged to utilize Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) for materials, supplies, services, and labor, and assistance in identifying such businesses is available.
