The Clay County Board of County Commissioners has requested bids from properly licensed and qualified General Contractors to provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary for the interior renovation of Building 500, located at 1845 Town Center Boulevard, Fleming Island, Florida, within the Fleming Island Business Park, per plans and specifications associated with this RFB. Bidders shall submit all inquiries regarding this RFB in the designated "Question and Answer" area. Bidders are prohibited from contacting any Board member, County employee, or agent of the County regarding the Request for Bids except via the specified methods: inquiries to Purchasing Department, pre-bid conferences, and formal presentations as specified in the Request for Bids. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all Bids without cause and to waive technical or non-material defects in the Request for Bids or any Bid. Interested vendors are advised that the Clay County Board of County Commissioners has a local preference policy and Buy American policy. A five percent (5%) Bid Bond is required and must be uploaded with the Supplier Questionnaire. If submitting a Cashier or Certified Check, it must be uploaded and the original received by the Purchasing Department within two business days after the RFB due date. Plans for this project are exempt from public disclosure and will be provided to Contractors who attend the mandatory Pre-Bid meeting and complete the required form. Subcontractors and suppliers who receive plans must also complete the required form. All completed forms must be uploaded in the Vendor Questionnaire. Additional instructions include strict no-contact rules during the bid period, requirements for protest procedures, compliance with the Countys purchasing policy, and restrictions against vendors on the convicted vendor list from bidding or performing work for the County.
