Work will include site clearing, earthwork operations, concrete walks and paving, site furnishings, landscape and seeding installation. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with the Contractor's name and address, and "Bid for Discovery Park," on the face of the envelope. All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, or Cashier's Check in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, payable to the Village of Romeoville. The Village reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all proposals, or to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be withdrawn until a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the Village. The Village encourages minority business firms to submit bids on this project and the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction.
