The project will be completed entirely on property owned by the Reading Regional Airport Authority. Taxiway C runs approximately 2,600 feet along the north apron, currently terminating at its intersection with Taxiway D and lacking access to Runway 18-36. The project will extend Taxiway C to complete this section of the northern parallel taxiway, creating an intersection with Runway 18-36 and Taxiway E. Work items include, but are not limited to, pavement removal, electrical installation, stormwater installation, paving, grading, pavement marking placement, seeding, and mulching. The project includes a Base Bid and four alternate bids: - Base Bid: Construct Taxiway C at 50-feet wide - Add Alternate Bid No. 1: Construct Taxiway C at 50-feet wide electrical (includes electrical items associated with the Base Bid layout, requires the Base Bid to be awarded) - Add Alternate Bid No. 2: Remove Taxiway G (demolition of Taxiway G with stormwater modifications and grading) - Deduct Alternate Bid No. 3: Reduce Taxiway C width to 35-feet wide (involves installing the proposed portion of Taxiway C at 35-feet wide instead of 50-feet, requires the Base Bid to be awarded) - Add Alternate Bid No. 4: Reduce Taxiway C width to 35-feet wide electrical (includes the electrical items associated with the Deduct Alternate Bid No. 3 layout, requires Deduct Alternate Bid No. 3 to be awarded) Question Deadline 04/09/2026 Should a Bidder find discrepancies or ambiguities in, or omission from, the Contract Documents, or should he be in doubt as to their meaning, he sha l at once, and in any event, not later than seven days prior to submission of Proposal, notify the Engineer in writing Bids must be prepared and submitted on the prescribed forms in accordance with the instructions contained in the Instructions to Bidders and General Provisions. Each bidder must deposit a bid security in an amount equal to at least 10% of the Base Bid. Successful bidders must enter into the Agreement and furnish a contract bond and required insurance within fifteen days after notification of acceptance. Wages predetermined by the US Secretary of Labor and Industry must be used. All work is subject to the regulations contained in Division 8 of the Project Manual. The Reading Regional Airport Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities.
