Gallo Building, which involves work at one building located at 12 Chestnut Avenue, Summit, NJ. Instructions to bidders: - Sealed bids will be received at the Office of the Executive Director, 512 Springfield Avenue, Summit, NJ, until the specified deadline and then publicly opened and read aloud. - Bid documents will be available for review at the specified office and via email request with a non-refundable deposit required per bid package. Documents will not be sent by overnight or US mail. - A Pre-Bid Conference is strongly recommended for bidders to clarify information about the work, ask questions, and learn the proper procedure for completing and submitting bid documents. Failure to attend is at the bidder’s own risk. - Requests for interpretation or clarification of bidding documents must be submitted via email, and all responses will be issued as written addenda. All addenda become part of the bidding documents and must be acknowledged on the Bid Form. - Each bid must include a Bid Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond, amounting to ten percent (10%) of the bid (max $20,000). - Prevailing wages as determined by the US Department of Labor apply. - A 100% Performance and Payment Bond from an acceptable surety is required from the successful bidder within thirty days of contract award, and all costs must be included in the bid. - Bids cannot be withdrawn for sixty days following submission. - The owner reserves the right to waive minor informalities or reject any or all bids. - All bids and security must be enclosed in a properly sealed envelope with the bidder’s name and bid title on the outside.
