Paving and renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Oxnard, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.
The project includes furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and other incidental and appurtenant work to perform resurfacing, painting, and striping of seven sports courts: three courts at Colonia Park, three courts at College Estates Park, and a half court (striping only) at Neptune Square Park in the City of Oxnard. Each bid must include bid security in the form of cash, certified or cashier's check, or a bidder's bond payable to the City of Oxnard in an amount equal to ten percent of the total bid price, enclosed with the bid proposal. The successful bidder must furnish performance and payment bonds, each for one hundred percent of the total contract price, upon award, with a one-year warranty period. Bonds must be on forms provided in the contract documents unless alternate forms meet all city requirements. Work is to be performed in accordance with California State prevailing wage requirements. Bidders and subcontractors must be registered with the DIR to perform public work. Bidders must possess a valid Class A General Engineering or C-12 California Contractor's License and a current City business license at contract award. Substitution of securities for withheld funds is allowed per Public Contract Code Section 22300. The City will retain five percent of progress payments. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. Work must be completed within forty-five working days of the City's notice to proceed, with liquidated damages of $250 assessed for each calendar day beyond the completion deadline. Question Deadline 03/27/2026: Prospective Bidders desiring an explanation or interpretation of this solicitation, plans, specifications, etc., must request it in writing from the Public Works Department (by mail, email or personally delivered) at least five (5) Calendar Days before Bid opening, stating the Project Name and Specification number, in order to allow a reply to reach all prospective Bidders before the submission of their bids
