Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Yakima, Washington. Conceptual plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The city of Yakima is inviting Statements of Qualifications from firms interested in providing professional engineering design and surveying services for the N. 16th Avenue Sidewalk project, which is part of the FHWA funded Carbon Reduction Program. Work includes preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for 1,470 linear feet of curb and gutter, sidewalk, commercial approaches, and an asphalt pathway along the west side of N. 16th Avenue, including associated hot mix asphalt pavement repair, landscape repair, storm drainage, and illumination. SOQs must include information on key personnel, familiarity with City of Yakima and similar municipalities, familiarity with WSDOT standards and federally funded projects, firm experience with PS&E, experience with federally funded projects, project approach, ability to meet schedule, and past performance or references. Submissions are limited to ten pages, front and back. The City will evaluate SOQs on a competitive basis using these criteria and may conduct interviews. Any contract awarded shall be on a cost-plus fixed fee basis, and the city reserves the right to retain the successful firm for subsequent project phases. There is a zero percent FSBE goal for this project.
