Remodeling of a municipal facility in Galesburg, Illinois. Completed plans call for the remodel of a municipal facility.
Bids are being received for the Knox County Courthouse - Restroom Replacements at 200 S Cherry Street, Galesburg, IL 61401. Each bid must include a certified check, bank draft payable to Knox County, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to 5% of the total Bid. Compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, rules, and regulations is required. Bids may be held for up to 60 days for review and investigation of bidder qualifications before awarding the contract. The bidding documents are available in Adobe PDF format from www.klingnerplanroom.com. Bidders are encouraged to register on this site as Prime Bidders or Sub-Contractors and are responsible for printing and shipping fees for hard copies. The Owner and Architect/Engineer are not responsible for incomplete documents obtained elsewhere. Knox County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to accept other than the lowest bid, and to waive irregularities or informalities in received bids. Question Deadline 03/17/2026 Questions prior to bid opening shall be submitted electronically to cbasham@klingner.com. Include in the Subject Line: Knox County Courthouse - Restroom Replacements - Question Submittal. Reference Specification Section or Plan Sheet in email. No questions shall be taken over the phone. Removal of existing bathroom items including wall partitions/furring, ceilings, light fixtures, electrical receptacles, toilet accessories, toilet partitions and floor finishes as indicated on drawings. Installation of new restrooms and associated items including wall partitions, wall furring, ceilings, light fixtures, toilet accessories, toilet partitions and floor finishes as indicated on drawings. Concrete slab removal and reinstallation in the basement, second floor and third floor will be the responsibility of the plumbing contractor - Mechanical Service, Inc. Removal and reinstallation of new plumbing items will be the responsibility of the plumbing contractor - Mechanical Service, Inc.
