The work consists of parking garage maintenance at Des Moines International Airport. The work generally includes: partial depth and full depth concrete floor repairs, curb and walk repairs, slab on grade repairs, concrete beam and joist repairs, concrete column and haunches repairs, precast tee beam bearing pad replacement, crack and joint sealing (including repair, tool and seal wide control joints, injection grouting, and cove sealant), bituminous/asphalt crack seal, replacing mechanical drainage items (floor drains, large pipes and hangers, drain and manhole grates), painting structural steel, replacing window frame/façade perimeter joint and window glazing cap seal, and an alternate for replacing pipe below grade. The estimated construction cost is between $270,000 and $280,000. Each bidder must submit bid security amounting to 10% of the bid, and successful bidders must furnish 100% performance, payment, and maintenance bonds. The contract may be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, with the right reserved to reject any or all bids and waive any informalities. Bidders must submit a fully completed and accurate Bidder Status Form. Sales tax should not be included, as a sales tax exemption certificate will be provided. Preferences are given in accordance with Iowa law for products and labor. Documents can be obtained for a refundable $25 fee if returned in reusable condition within 14 days of award. The project completion date is no later than July 31, 2026.
