Demolition, site work and paving for a civil project in Hobart, Indiana. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; road / highway; and road / highway.
Project No. WBS R10-01D1-21-P-0011 The project consists of the replacement of Lake County Bridge No. 254, Wisconsin Street over Lake George, and the reconstruction of Wisconsin Street from 3rd Street to Lake Shore Drive, except for the railroad tracks. The work includes raising the roadway, reconstructing the subgrade, and geotechnical remediation. It also includes demolition of the former Bait Shop Building at 603 S Wisconsin Street and installation of the replacement water main owned and operated by Indiana American Water. Estimated total bid price is approximately $7 million, with a project duration of 270 days. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bid bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after the scheduled opening. The Owner will award the contract to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder, considering the bid and all other relevant facts. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities, accept the lowest, responsive, responsible bid, or reject any and all bids. Further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award are provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Deadline for official contractor questions and answers will be EOD April 23, 2026.
