Project Number - G-125-2026 Sealed bids are requested for all tools, labor, and materials necessary to complete the work required for Downtown Parking Lots, including the removal and replacement of 3,850 SY of parking lot pavement, reconstruction with Portland cement concrete, adjusting manholes and valves, rebuilding inlets, sodding, and erosion control. All construction must be performed by a qualified or licensed contractor in the appropriate trade. Contractors must furnish Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bonds equal to 100% of the contract price for one year past project completion. Bids must include a Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, or Certified Check representing at least 5% of the bid price. Work must follow Nebraska Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction (latest edition), with removed pavement repaired and open to traffic within 10 days. The contractor must start work in 2026 and complete it before June 19, 2026. Liquidated damages of $500 per calendar day apply after the allowed completion period. An acceptable Affirmative Action Statement and Program must be submitted within ten days of contract approval. Final payment requires written clearance from the State Commissioner of Labor, certifying payments due to the Unemployment Compensation Fund have been made. The bid must be sealed, addressed, and labeled as instructed. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
