Description

Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Clinton, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The project involves separating storm water runoff from the combined (sanitary) sewer system in the vicinity of North 5th Street, from 4th Avenue North to 6th Avenue North, including the intersections. The work includes the construction of 1015 linear feet of new concrete and PVC storm sewer pipelines (12 to 30 inches in diameter), the installation of 14 new storm sewer structures, and full depth reconstruction of North 5th Street. The reconstruction includes replacing the street with 2349 SY of HMA, 6 inches thick on a 12-inch rock sub-base. Additional work includes curb and gutter replacements, full depth concrete patching, driveway approach replacements, sidewalk and ADA curb ramp construction, earthwork and removals, and other related road and sewer construction tasks. Bidders must return a signed contract and performance bond, and sign a statement to comply with the City's Safety Manual. Liquidated damages apply as per Special Conditions.
