Renovation of a stadium in West Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a stadium.
Construction of a new videoboard, scoreboard, audio system, and associated work at Valley Stadium located in West Des Moines, IA, including replacement of the existing videoboard, scoreboard, and sound system. Lump-sum bids are required. Bidders must provide a security deposit in the form of a bid bond, cashier's or certified check, or certified share draft not less than 5 percent of the base price/sum, payable to the West Des Moines Community School District. The bid security must not contain any conditions. The successful bidder is required to provide a Certificate of Insurance and Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, each for 100% of the contract price. Bids must be irrevocable for 30 days. The project is tax exempt. Bidders must use products and provisions produced or grown within the State of Iowa whenever possible. All bidders must provide a statement regarding their resident status on the designated Iowa Department of Labor form. Failure to provide the statement may result in the bid being rejected as non-responsive. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or parts thereof, waive informalities, and enter into contracts deemed in the best interest of the District. Plans and specifications referenced are part of the notice and contract by reference. Bids are governed by applicable Iowa law and West Des Moines Community School District policies.
