Site work and paving for a road / highway in Waterbury, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
It is the intent of the City for the Successful Proposer to furnish all labor, services, materials, tools, equipment, transportation and incidentals necessary to execute and properly finish the Project. The City will be milling and paving roads in various parts of the City, along with incidental related work including minor drainage improvements, replacement of traffic signal loop detectors, concrete sidewalks, and ADA compliant pedestrian ramps. Work shall be phased and scheduled to provide for continued regular and handicapped access to residential, commercial, and business areas during working hours. Several of the roads are located at or near Connecticut Department of Transportation highway on- or off-ramps or intersections, and maintenance and protection of traffic and temporary signalization must be coordinated with the Connecticut Department of Transportation and comply with the required Encroachment Permits. A list of proposed streets to be rehabilitated is attached but subject to change. Speed humps and tables are located on Hamilton Park Road inside Hamilton Park. An alternate bid includes service road rehabilitation at East Mountain Golf Course on East Mountain Road, which must be done in October. 25% of the total state-funded value with DAS-certified Small Businesses and 6.25% of the total state-funded value with DAS certified Minority-, Women-, and/or Disabled-owned Businesses.
