ROME CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT invites bids for Mechanical Work (MC) for the proposed "2024 Capital Improvement Project - Phase 2" located in Rome, New York 13440. The project consists of capital improvements located at Clough Intermediate School. Bidding documents may be obtained from Syracuse Blueprint Company for a refundable deposit per set, and electronic versions are available for a non-refundable fee. Bidders must deposit security of not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid as specified in the instructions. All requests for information regarding the plans, specifications, or contract documents must be made in writing to the designated contacts. A Pre-Bid Walk-Through will take place at Clough School. Bidders are particularly called to the Owner's sales tax exemption, employment conditions, and minimum wage requirements. Detailed requirements for bidder qualification include bonding and insurance, financial statements, bank references, litigation history, a statement of surety's intent to issue Performance and Payment Bonds, and descriptions of similar projects completed. Bids must be prepared as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders, sealed, and include the proper security. No bid may be withdrawn for forty-five (45) days after the opening. The Board of Education reserves the right to waive informalities or reject any or all bids, and to disqualify bidders for material failure to comply with bidding instructions.
