Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in Rome, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.
DESCRIPTION: Remove existing pavers and replace them with concrete slab. The vendor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the work in a professional manner according to scope of work and architectural drawings if supplied. Work is to be completed within 30 days of award, unless modified below. This is a NYS Public Works project, and prevailing wages are to be paid, PRC# 2026012478. Refer to attached specification for the following scope of work. Site must be cleaned and all materials secured at the end of each workday. Absolutely no scraps, especially fasteners, are to be left unsecured. Upon completion of slab, before removal of equipment and scaffolding, contractor is to schedule a quality control and quality assurance inspection with project manager. SCOPE OF WORK includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1. Remove existing pavers wood and earth. 2. Cut away and remove any shrubs, roots or stone that will interfere with this work 3. Compact sub grade 4. Place a minimum of 4" inches of compacted crushed stone NYS DOT 304-1, type 4 5. Install reinforcing 6"x6" W1.4xW1.4 WWM wire mesh at a depth o f 2", anchor securely, using 16 gauge or heavier, black annealed wire. 6. gradation in base of framework. Apply in (2), 2" layers, compacting each layer. Refer to print. 7. Pin into existing concrete using #4 bar at 12" on center at least 8-12 inches of depth. Core drill to required depth, use a two-component required epoxy to set the #4 rebar and concrete bonding agent to additionally adhere the two slabs. 8. No concrete to be poured when temperature is expected to be below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. 9. Pour 5" of concrete. Concrete is to be air retained concrete with a minimum compressive strength of 4000 psi. aggregates No-1 crushed stone. Refer to print. 10. Consolidate concrete by spading, raking, forking, or using vibrator eliminating all air pockets, stones pockets and honey combing work. Float concrete surfaces so as to produce a uniform finish. 11. Provide a broom finish to all surfaces. 12. Finish edges of walks and expansion joints with a 1/4 " radius edging tool. Provide control joints every 5'
