Renovation of a parking garage in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.
The City of Gaithersburg is seeking a Design-Build firm to provide structural design and construction services for the Olde Towne Parking Garage. The selected firm will be responsible for identifying, designing, and implementing structural repairs and durability improvements based on the City's findings in the 2024 Facility Structural Assessment. Tasks include reviewing assessment reports, conducting detailed visual inspections, developing a repair plan for issues such as concrete deterioration and joint failures, preparing phased design and construction documents, securing all required permits, implementing repairs with quality control, and coordinating with city staff and private sector tenants. If the Offeror is unable to perform any listed tasks in their entirety, this must be indicated in their proposal submission. The scope encompasses general engineering and construction services such as condition assessment, repair strategy development, documentation, permitting, construction execution, and ongoing communication with stakeholders to ensure the project restores safety, capacity, and extends the facility's service life.
