Project Address: 1515 Refugio Valley Rd, Hercules, CA 94547 1000 Sycamore Ave, Hercules, CA 94547 The project involves restoration activities and improvements at Refugio Valley Park and Hercules Corporation Yard, including establishing construction access, site exclusion, staging areas, and environmental compliance controls; clearing, grubbing, and demolition of existing features; establishing the sediment placement area with earthwork, perimeter berms, and leachate management at the Corp Yard; diverting flow from Refugio Creek; dewatering the park lake; excavator dredging and removal of approximately 6,300 cubic yards of sediment; transporting and grading sediment at the Corp Yard; capturing and discharging leachate; removing invasive vegetation and planting native species around the lake; and making facility improvements at both locations. There is also an additive alternative for invasive plant removal and native planting upstream at Refugio Creek. The contractor must have a valid Class A California contractor's license, and all work must be completed within 138 working days. Bid proposals must be accompanied by bid security equal to ten percent of the maximum bid amount. Bidders must meet California Department of Industrial Relations registration requirements and comply with prevailing wage laws. Detailed instructions to bidders require reviewing all contract documents, submitting a Subcontractor List, and attending a mandatory bidders' conference.
