Sealed bids will be accepted for the Football Field Lighting project at the Itawamba County School District. Bid documents are available in paper or electronic format; plan holders must register an account at the designated website to access documents. Bid documents must be purchased and are non-refundable. Electronic bidding is optional and may be submitted via the website. Bids must be prepared according to Section 00 21 13 - Instructions to Bidders in the Project Manual. Each proposal must include Proposal Security in the form of a Certified Check or acceptable Bid Bond of at least 5% of the base bid. This security will be forfeited as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to meet proposal terms. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time and bids must remain firm for 45 days after opening. A 100% Performance-Payment Bond from a surety company authorized in Mississippi will be required within ten days after contract award notification. All bids over $50,000 must display the contractor's current certificate number on the outside of the bid envelope or container. If the bid does not exceed $50,000, a statement to that effect must be on the envelope. For electronic bids, this information must be included as an attachment. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities.
