This property is located at the end of North Fork Thompson Creek Road, approximately 14 miles southwest of Carbondale, CO. SCOPE OF WORK A. SPECIFICATIONS Pitkin County Open Space and Trails is requesting proposals from qualified roofing contractors for a two-stage roofing project. Stage I includes the following tasks: • Shake roof tear off • Repairs to the plank substrate as needed • Installation of ice/water shield & drip edge • Installation of a Cold Rolled Commercial Quality (CRCQ) steel roof with cold batten mounting system on the main part of the cabin. Stage II includes the following tasks: • Replacement of peel and stick SBS modified Class A style roof on the low slope roof of the cabin addition • Addition of flashing and drip edge as needed The selected contractor will be held to high standards for minimizing disturbance. The following values have been determined as critical for the successful completion of the Project: 1. Quality 2. Integrity 3. Communication (Create a clear and transparent method for communication with county staff and the public.) 4. Aesthetics (project should be sensitive to and complement the surrounding natural environment) 5. Sustainability (e.g. use of local resources where possible, reuse of materials where possible, etc.) 6. Safety 7. Cost
