The work to be performed consists of furnishing all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary for fabrication, construction, and installation of new Gateway & Park Signs. The project includes temporary erosion and sediment control, clearing and grubbing of vegetation and lawn, barrier fencing, protection of existing vegetation and trees, cutting and capping of isolated irrigation systems, installation of a landscape wall at Park sign location A, fabrication and installation of four Gateway signs and three park signs, installation of concrete sign foundations, installing signs, restoration of existing lawn and/or plant material disturbed by construction activities, provision of topsoil Type A and mulch, and temporary pedestrian and traffic control-all in accordance with the Contract Plans, Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. The work must be physically completed within 90 working days. All sealed bids shall be addressed and delivered as specified. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond in an amount equal to at least 5% of the bid. Bids must be in writing, sealed, and received by the specified date and time. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities or minor irregularities. Workers must be paid prevailing wages in accordance with state law. All prospective bidders, subcontractors, and vendors must register with Builders Exchange of Washington. No pre-bid site inspection or meeting is scheduled. Participation from all qualified bidders is encouraged, and there are no minimum or voluntary M/WBE goals required for this project.
