The project includes retrofitting the existing stormwater system to provide water quality treatment using Low Impact Development, removal and replacement of existing pavement, sidewalk, curb and gutter, ADA ramp, removal of existing catch basins, and plugging existing pipe. Temporary erosion and sedimentation control measures must be implemented prior to ground disturbance. New installations include Type 1 & Type 2 catch basins, six BioPods, and a new 12-inch stormwater pipeline. All impacted areas, including landscaped areas, are to be restored to pre-disturbed condition. Schedule B work for the Alderwood Water & Wastewater District involves removing an existing 8-inch water main that conflicts with a new stormwater pipe and installing a new 8-inch ductile iron water main below the stormwater pipe, tying it into the existing system. This involves removal and replacement of pavement and restoration of the trench per contract requirements. The estimated project cost is between $750,000 and $800,000, with completion required within 30 working days. Bidders must register at Builders Exchange of Washington to access contract documents.
