The work includes new electrical pathways and feeder circuits with conduit and wiring, replacement of the existing generator, automatic transfer switch, and motor control centers. The Contractor shall provide allcivil, structural, mechanical, electrical, controls, and incidental work for a complete and operable installation in accordance with the Contract Provisions and Contract Plans. Mandatory 15% apprentice labor hours of the total labor hours are a requirement of the construction contract. Bidders may contact the Department of Labor & Industries (L&I), Apprenticeship Section, to obtain information on available apprenticeship programs. The estimated construction cost is $3,785,000. If there is any doubt or uncertainty as to themeaning of same, intending Bidders or Contractors should request clarification from the Engineer before submitting theirproposal. The Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud shortly after the time and date stated above. Proposals are tobe submitted only on the form provided with the Contract Provisions. All Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check,cashiers check, money order, or bid bond payable to the Mukilteo Water and Wastewater District and in an amount of not lessthan five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. The three lowest bids may not be withdrawn for 60 days after the day of bidopening. All bidders are required to attend a Mandatory Prebid Conference. Financing of the Project has been provided by Mukilteo Water and Wastewater District, Washington. TheMukilteo Water and Wastewater District expressly reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive minorirregularities or informalities and to Award the Project to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder as it best serves theinterests of the District.
