Description

Remodeling of a municipal facility in Barnstable, Massachusetts. Working plans call for the remodel of a municipal facility.

As of 5/5/2026 the project has been cancelled The Procurement Office, on behalf of the Department of Public Works, is requesting bids for the FY26 MEA Interior Improvements project. Specifications and documents are available only on the Town's online Procurement Portal. Hard copy bids are not accepted. 100% Payment and 100% Performance Bonds and a 5% Bid Bond are required. Compliance with Federal, State, and Municipal wage laws is mandatory. Certification of OSHA Training is required. General bidders must be certified by the Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) for General Building Construction. Filed Sub-bidders must be DCAMM certified for Electrical, Plumbing, and Floor Covering. All bids are subject to Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149 and other applicable laws. The Town reserves the right to waive formalities or reject any or all bids as it deems in its best interest. The "Fair Share" construction requirement for this project is a minimum of 10.4% combined MBE/WBE participation by state certified MBEs and WBEs. Refer to Section 01 2300 Alternates, for applicable alternates. The work wi l include al operations necessary to deliver the reception area, offices, locker room, toilet rooms, and shower facilities in a fu ly insta led and operable condition including a l utility work and obtaining a l necessary licenses, permits, and certificates. The scope of work, without limiting the generality thereof, includes a l labor, materials, equipment and services required to perform the work described fu ly in the Drawings and Specifications and includes, but is not limited to the fo lowing major work: The MEA Building renovation includes, but is not limited to: Cast-in-place concrete. Carpentry. Insulation. Doors, hardware, and interior windows. Gypsum board assemblies. Interior finishes. Toilet compartments. Lockers. Plumbing, HVAC, and electrical
